Golden Graphic Design
Projects
These are some of the things I've made during my time in this class. As I said, this was my first time doing digital art, and I very much enjoyed it. This was sort of a test drive, and I'm mostly happy with how it turned out! I hope you enjoy these!
This is my mountain scene. I decided I wanted to do some messing around with values using shadows, so as to create a sort of whimsical tone of a tucked away masterpiece of nature. Don't get me wrong, this is far from a masterpiece, but that's the idea I was going for.
This is my house. A LOT of lines were to be used, with all of the individual little pieces of the house, as well as the tree in the background. As per usual, I like to go for a daytime image instead of night, as I like to make my pieces bright and eye-catching.
This is my logo! I made the name Golden when I was 8 years old, and I made a YouTube channel called Golden Guardian when I started to play Minecraft, given that Gold was my favorite material to make things out of in that game. I eventually shortened it to Golden, and it just kind of stuck. That's what this logo is for, to represent my "other self" if you will, as "Connor" and "Golden" are two very different people. I used my signature golden sword, as well as a bird in the background, mostly to represent my main character in Super Smash Bros, Captain Falcon, but also because I thought I could do a lot using that and the fire, which is meant to represent my burning passion for what I do, that being playing Smash competitively.
This is the pamphlet I made for the MHS Award Ceremony. I'm not very proud of it, as it is pretty rushed, but I attempted to make use of space by having the ribbons weave around each other.
At last, we have my shoe, and the shoe repetition piece. I'm not 100% sure what I was going for with it, as I just kind of improvised until I got something I wanted. It ended up being a sort of blinding mess, which I like the appeal of, but it's a bit much. I wanted to create movement with the shoes falling into the bottom.
